This is not a knitting post

In the fourth and final season of the British comedy television series Teachers, shown here in Australia on the ABC, Summerdown School merges with a nearby school, becoming Wattkins Comprehensive.  That season hasn’t aired here yet, but, who knows, the ABC might screen it over summer or next year.  In a case of life imitating art, for the second time in as many years I find myself in the situation of possibly being made redundant at the end of the school year.  At this point in time I haven’t a clue what may come – I had seriously begun looking at property here in Armidale in the expectation of buying a house next year.  Whatever happens, I have one goal I’m retaining for next year.  When I finally ditch my current landlord, and wherever I may end up, I’m getting a cat.

I don’t really discuss school on here for many reasons, and that’s not about to change.  It’s been a particularly crummy end to the school term, but I have the school holidays to enjoy, and hopefully some "normal" posts to share over the next few weeks.
